Just playing with a underwater digital camera in the bathtub with the grandkids, does a great job. Kind of strange feeling to be sticking a camera underwater to take pictures without my big underwater housing I use to use with my 35mm camera.

Just for fun, nothing special about shot.

Went fishing with a friend, and since they were not biting, we decided to go take some images in Gallopolis, Oh. We are going back to have a little more time to take some shots.

I liked the 3 pelican formation. This shot was taken in the Ding Darling Wildlife area on Sanibel Island, Florida. A great place to go and see birds and get some nice photographs.

Here is an image of Blackwater Falls I took. I was trying to make it a softer image and less sharp to give a little more dream like look. So I used the Sharpen slider in Camera Raw and took it to the negative side until I got a look close to what I was trying.

This was shot about 11:00am with a setting of f/22 which I don't like to use, 1/5 of a sec. - 2/3 EV ISO of 100 using a +4ND filter

Just a shot of a barge on the Ohio River near evening.

Wednesday, September 9, 2009

This was shot from the top of the Space Needle in Seattle, WA. I shot this with a 24-105 zoom handheld and zoomed as I took the picture for the effect. Fog was rolling in and out and had a very short window of opportunity to see the city from the top of the Needle, great view and photo opportunity.
DATA
It was f/4 0.8" with 1.33 +EV ISO 400

I have shot a lot of images of this lately and really liked the color of this one.

Last night at the camera club, there was a discussion on what would be good settings for taking a image of the moon. Here are a couple of shots I did tonight
This was shot at F/11 @ 1/160 ISO 200 with -2/3 exposure comp. I used a Canon 50D with Canon 100-400 and a canon 2X teleconverter giving me about 1200mm of lens.

This image used the same equipment and settings except for time, this one was 1/200

Was sitting on the river and this guy landed at my feet. Just too good to pass up, so I shot it with a 400mm lens at about 8'

This is a trial run of a technique a friend of mine uses a lot and I wanted to see how it turned out. This is done in Curves using photoshop to make a look that is unusual and if done in B/W it becomes like chrome almost.

This was shot on top of a mountain in Vermont. Had to work hard to get the shot and then get off the mt. before I fell and broke my neck.
