We were having a campfire and hot dogs and as it got dark, I could not help taking a few shots to see how it looked. These were shot with a Canon 5D & Canon 24-105 lens. Settings were manual ISO 100 about every F stop tried and speeds ranged from 1/13 to 1/100. This was shot at F/4 1/100 spot metering.

So glad to be able to post this today, my desktop computer went bye-bye yesterday and thanks to a friend, we were able to give it cpr and save it from the hammer I had in my hand. So, after ghosting and updating my stuff, I tried an image to see if all was well, and so far so good.
Here is a little sand fence along St. Augustine Beach I shot for the shadows and just goofing off.

Walked outside and took some shots tonight of the storm. I didn't have my tripod or remote, so I handheld and tried to guess or time the shot the best I could. I missed more than I got, but it was a blast watching the sky light up just as I put camera down to rest. These were shot at ISO 800 F/4 1/20th on high speed drive.
Got Lucky.

I was out running around after the storm looking for something to shoot and saw some fishermen and after talking to them, I asked the man if I could take his picture and he said ok. I am not comfortable taking pictures of people, but this was a good time to practice. These were shot using a fill flash and high shutter speed to get the skky in the background to look the way it did.
I am off to Disney World with the grandkids today, so that ought to be wild, 3 days of Mickey and the kids.

I have been working on some photoshop techniques from people like Mark Johnson, Bert Monroy, etc and trying to understand Calculations, Vectors, and other things I don't use, but would make life a lot easier. You also pick up great quick tips for doing something you use a lot that you didn't know like, how to copy a layer effect to 100 layers all at once, so you don't have to drag effect to each layer. By the way, it is under copy layer style and you shift click on all the layers and then paste effect from the menu.
Here is an example of what it can do with a simple click and using define pattern that I have never use.

I am getting ready to leave for Florida and was just playing around with some images and saw a Bert Monroy tutorial on how to make a old car look different so I tried the effect and liked the end result.
These were done with channels and using them to select an area and then applying a color layer then using a duplicate background layer smart blur in normal and find edges and adjusting to what you like
