A friend and I took a little trip to Charleston, WV and had a little walk about to shoot a few shots. We were able to get some interesting shots and could have spent all evening doing more, but after 3 hrs, I was ready to quit.
Hope you enjoy and I learned a lot with the photowalk with the club the other night and loved doing it again in a new area.

Our local camera club had a photowalk last night in Huntington, WV and we had a good time shooting and talking, mostly talking I think, but it was fun to see and listen to the others in the club shoot shots and say what they were trying to do.

Had a few minutes to play today so I thought I would do a little work on some old shots. I am headed to the photoshoot walkabout this evening and hope to get some cool shots and also learn a lot from the others there.

Ran out yesterday evening to try to shoot a couple of shots using a flash with a soft box on it to do some experimenting with macro. I had a couple of really open tulips that were giving me a good shot inside, but the hard part was the wind.
These were shot with a Canon 580EXII flash and a Gary Fong flash head and a soft cloth over that to diffuse the light. Used the 5D with 24-105 lens and a 36mm extensiton tube.

Went to the Alligator farm with my grandson and we were able to have a good time shooting some birds and chasing some gators. I love this kind of shooting and family fun with my grandson

Can you spell RAIN and WIND? It poured all night and most of the day, so I had a little time to sit and look at some of the shots I had taken but not had time to really look over. Here are a couple I played with to see if I could make something out nothing.

Went to shoot some things other than macro and got to shoot some birds flying, nothing was really out but did get a couple of shots while playing with speed and IS settings.
