Took off today to do some shooting after doing some work around here. Went to the Cemetery to place flowers and saw some interesting things on the way out and needed a little lift, so I shot a few images. Then headed up Rt. 2 to see if I could find some more things and found this shot.

Saw the moon and had to shoot a few shots. These were shot with a Canon 50D with a Canon 2X extender and 100-400 Canon IS lens. Settings were 1/200th @ F/11 and 8

Was practicing some shooting and took the following panning shots. Nothing special, but I am waiting to do some 2nd curtain flash photography.

May 6th evening

Saw the sky, grapped my camera and broke a couple of laws getting to the site to take this image. Just wanted to add this shot to my collection of this barn.
This is an HDR of that shot, with little processing done in photoshop except to blend the images into 1

Had to do one of my drive and shoot shots of the sky as I was headed home, tough to hold a 5D with battery pack, kirk bracket and kirk handle drive and shoot. Also, really stupid to do so, but what the heck.

Here is the holy grail of junk signs. I wish I had paid more attention when I was there and had met some of the club members before the trip. I would still be taking pictures at this place. Like a friend of mine said, " was Fred Sanford home".

I had a few images to play with and my photo club buddy, Mark has an interest in signs, so I just happened to have an old image I thought he might like. I shot this in Idaho and just now am getting around to working on it and deciding what I might like to do with it. Here is one thought I had.

Decided to go to the mountains to shoot some shots and had an idea to try painting with light. I found out it is a lot harder than I thought it would be, especially by yourself. But, it was fun and I learned a lot. Check out the results at http://picasaweb.google.com/Kestrel139/RoadTrip# to see some of the shots from today.
